Thanks for joining me on this journey. I look forward to seeing what we can cover together.
It’s exciting to be able to continue this journey!
You see for me, it’s a continuation of a lot of things, but for you, it may just be a beginning.
I started writing over a decade ago while we lived in Costa Rica. We were missionaries there for a time and in Mexico as well. I had hundreds of posts gathered up of so many things. More of a journal for me than anything and they all documented moments of faith that God had gifted us over the course of our travels. And then one day…it was all gone. It didn’t really occur to me the frustration of loss that would become, until later, but I feel as though a piece of our story just vanished instantly. Almost as if we suddenly experienced a sense of amnesia. I feel robbed, jaded and cheated, but it was my own fault and so I really can’t complain.
And so we continue! And I want to encourage you to continue as well. Whatever it is that had stopped, it’s time to begin again. Let’s pick up where we left off and take another step.
What you’re going to find here over the coming months will seem like a shotgun blast at a very large target. I’m interested in a great number of things. Being a dad. Being a wicked awesome husband (self-proclaimed ;), Pastoring, Leadership, Investing, Car Mechanics, Renovation, Construction, Hunting, Productivity, Soul Health. See what I mean? I’m into a little bit of everything and I plan to write on anything I want. I hope that’s cool with you and I look forward to continuing the journey with you. What you can expect from this is at least 3 posts weekly, posts that will hopefully encourage you, challenge you, make you laugh, cringe or cry.
With any luck, you’ll be inspired, you’ll be encouraged to take a step…no a risk…in faith that you never thought was possible.
You see that’s my very purpose in life. I believe God has given me the agenda of helping people experience an incredible God in amazing ways. That’s my life’s purpose statement.
How about we start right there. What’s your life’s purpose statement? Do you have one, if you don’t, I know how you can figure it out….
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. —Winston Churchill
